Before selecting your courses, drop by the Advisement Office to check in for the courses you are required to take for the following semester. Or if you already have a major, go to your major's department to check in with the professor adviser for additional information to your courses' selections.
Textbooks is a yes.
The Student Support Services is really helpful if you feel left our or depression, the counselor really takes her time to listen you out!

*Honestly, I did not like York College at first but slowly as I adapt to it, it REALLY is not so bad. Besides the college experience, you have to stay on top of your studies!!

The workload can be a little tedious, but depending on how quickly you adjust to a different system of learning (that is totally different from high school) it can be enriching, and you have knowledge about various subjects to keep with you for life.
