Am learning a lot | Clark Atlanta University has provided me with the tools I need in order to matriculate gracefully throughout my college career and my life. Academically, CAU has a staff and faculty team that is concerned and dedicated to my success. I have a respectful relationship with my professors which allows me to get the help I need when struggling or just need someone to talk to which has lead to my academic success. CAU has also broadened me culturally due to its HBCU background. |
Am enjoying being here | Campus life is always exciting and educational! From the fraternity and sorority involvement on campus to the volunteer opportunities and fundraisers, CAU definitely exceeds expectations. |
Bang for the buck | With the dedication of the faculty and staff, I have definitely gotten the full worth of of my tuition here at CAU. There are also plenty of on campus activities as well as clubs and team-associated programs to be involved in. |
Tips for prospective students | CAU is definitely one of the best...but, because we are located in the heart of a big and exciting city, my advice to prospective students would be to stay focused; remember that you are here for growth and educational purposes. Practice time management; it's normal to have a social life but make sure that you balance that time. Be true to yourself; being realistic and setting achievable goals before coming to school outlines your academic year and has already put into practice a form of time management. |
Great for these types of students | CAU is great for the go-getter kind of student. One of CAU's motto's is Find a way or make one which describes the kind of student that will work to achieve their goals and do what it takes to fulfill their dreams by any means necessary all while making a way for future students just as what was done for them. The HBCU background does not, in any way, discriminate against other ethnicity. We are a school that is dedicated to the success of the future generation, race and ethnicity aside. |

Am learning a lot | Become very involved in the classroom environment. You will learn so much just by engaging in conversation with your professors and fellow classmates about the readings assigned and the issues going on in the community. You also will learn a lot of information about Black History that was not taught in previous schooling. Get to know your professors and always try to stand out in the classroom. |
Am enjoying being here | Join a club, sports team, and or fraternity. By doing so you can form brotherly and sisterly bonds that can never be broken. It is also a way to keep yourself occupied and on track. It is also a good way to learn about the city and fun places to go from the upperclassmen who have experience. |
Bang for the buck | This institution is very expensive and sometimes you might find yourself questioning is the school even worth it. However if you use all resources available to you, you will truly find yourself getting the bang for the buck. |
Tips for prospective students | Always put school first make it your number one priority. It is so easy to get caught up in the party life make sure you limit yourself because if you don't you will find yourself falling behind. Get involved you will learn so much and meet so many great people. Most importantly spend your money wisely! |
Great for these types of students | Students who work hard and are strong that have drive, determination, and are willing and ready for a roller coaster ride. |

Am learning a lot | The staff at Clark Atlanta University is more than willing to help student exceed to the next level. I am a freshman and my teacher know me and everyone else in class. They give you that special one on one if you need it. |
Am enjoying being here | Atlanta is a great place to go to school and the school is involved well in the community there is a lot to do and it never boring. You can meet people in the AUC the (Atlanta University Center) which also includes Spelman and Morehouse |
Bang for the buck | I would have to that you get what you pay for, the school is great and a lot of great things can happen if you apply yourself. |
Tips for prospective students | If you are thinking about Clark Atlanta University I think you should of course see if the distance is something you can handle. A lot of student come from out of state and can't get back and forth home. You should also think about how big of a city Atlanta is and if you can handle being away. |
Great for these types of students | Any African American student who wants to attend an HBCU and likes the fact that it is very small. Also if you want to get a lot of internships and things of that sort |

In three sentences | Clark Atlanta University is a great HBCU to attend for a plentiful of reasons. I would describe the atmosphere on campus as being scholarly, united and fun. The tuition may be steep but CAU is a private college and students receive the knowledge that they pay for. |
Tips for prospective students | If students are considering an out-of-state college be cautious in the decision because being far away from home and far from family can take a toll on some students. It is natural to be home sick and if that happens there is a counseling service on campus so students can have a safe and confidential place that they are able to go to. Also, go to a school that offers great classes for your specific major. |
Academic Rigor | The academic rigor at Clark Atlanta University is tough but well worth it! The professors are great to learn from and will give the students a challenge that will be beneficial to which ever career they may choose. |
Dorm Life | I like the upperclassmen dorms because it comes equipped with a full kitchen, nice living room space and a decent size room. The freshman dorm I did not like as much because there was not a kitchen provided and visitation was very strict. |
Food and Dining | The food and dining on campus is great but what is even better is being in the same vicinity as two other colleges which provides various dining places as well. The options are plentiful on-campus and off-campus. |
What to do for fun | There is plenty to do on campus, with various organizations hosting campus get togethers there will never be a dull day on campus. Since Clark Atlanta University is in the heart of Atlanta, there is plenty of fun things to do off-campus as well, like going to football/basketball games (which is down the street from the campus), going to the Georgia Aquarium, or touring the Coca-Cola factory... there will always be something to do! |
Greek Life | Greek Life is great on campus there is always a probate to attend throughout the semester! If you are interested in joining a fraternity or sorority Clark Atlanta University is a great place for you! |
Campus Safety | Campus safety is still improving but overall keeps the student body as safe as they can! |

In three sentences | Clark Atlanta University has been a new experience, but has been a great one so far. This school creates a foundation for most students, and it is up to the students to follow this structure. The family bond that the school tries to create is the best part of the school, because it makes one feel like they belong. |
Tips for prospective students | Being able to set priorities for yourself is the biggest thing someone needs to know before attending this insititution. Also come up with a finicial plan and start saving as much as you can, because this school is pricey. Network and become involved once you arrive. Remember that purpose of going to college is to have a career. |

Dorm Life | The CAU Suites is the best housing for freshmen. |

Am learning a lot | I am learning a lot about the black perspective in all my subjects. It has opened my mind to many more questions and thoughts that I didn't have in the past. In addition it has made me comfortable with who I am and what I want and need for my future. |
Am enjoying being here | I enjoy being here because I get the freedom that I always wanted. Even though I get homesick, I manage to find different activities to involve myself it so that I can enjoy being away from home. The students are nicer than what I thought they would be. The network is so incredible it makes me feel like I have a second home that I am accepted at. |
Tips for prospective students | -make sure that you choose the appropriate class times for you. meaning please don't pick a 9 am class when you know that you don't get up until 11am. -make enough friends so that you have a variety of things that you can do and get involved in for community service and free time. -make a semi schedule for your harder classes so that you will pass them. meaning make a study schedule so you will be on track. -make sure that you take the right amount of classes each semester so that you won't be on overload and fail classes that you will have to repeat. -get to know your professors they are always willing to help you. |

Am learning a lot | When they said college was hard they lied to us all. You must apply yourself. Especially since your pushing out the bucks more rapidly than there coming in. Clark Atlanta is my home away from home. I guarantee any problem your dealing with they will try to help you. Although they can not solve every problem they definitely do reinforce their motto ill find a way or make one. Here they will mold you into the young man or woman you want to be. Teachers love to help they emphasize their office hours and they certainly acknowledge effort. All of my life I've waited for the day id be really proud of something. In August 2010 I honestly got that wish fulfilled when i stepped on campus and finally became a Clark Atlanta Panther. Culture for service its not just our Motto its our life. |
Bang for the buck | The food's not worth the almost 2k. but the education is surely worth every dollar |
Tips for prospective students | Come only if you want to make a difference beyond your community...We change the world at Clark Atlanta University |
Great for these types of students | Those who enjoy a family like setting |
