What Students Are Saying

Food isn't great, but don't let that make or break your decision! Butler is working on improving its cafeterias. They have a ways to go yet, but I've definitely been able to see the improvement even over this past year!
Lauryn from Elkhart, IN
The food at Atherton is okay. It's not awful and it's definitely edible, but meals are very repetitive. There aren't a lot of choices if you want to eat healthy, so I find myself eating more salads than I ever have in my life. They're really trying to improve the quality of the food, but it's campus food...by nature it isn't luxurious.
Emily from Indianapolis, IN
There is a lot of variety with the food, and the meal plan allows for three meals a day as well as $400 to use on snacks, Starbucks, and fast food.
Miranda from Maple Grove, MN
There are two places to dine on campus- Atherton and CClub. Atherton is the cafeteria-style place. It had renovations after my freshmen year and now there is an ice-cream machine and a habachi grill! There are also many other choices like a sandwich and salad bar, and also desserts! CClub is downstairs from Atherton and consists of Papa Johns, A hot sandwich place, salads and soups, and snacks for just a quick lunch. The workers are all really friendly! There is also a Starbucks right in the middle of campus!
Macy from North Vernon, IN
The food is decent and far better than high school food. The nice thing is that we are so close to Broad Ripple that if you ever get tired of the meals here, it's a short drive to local restaurants.
Alyssa from Lafayette, IN
