Check into all of the scholarships offered through the school, especially if you are planning on living in the dorms.
Pay attention to the activities that the school is putting on; They always give out calendars with the events going on so students can keep track.

Brittney from Pagosa Springs, CO
Talk to the staff. They are there to help and will always put your best interest first.
Sophmore from Denver, CO
Make sure you take the classes you need first and not a class that doesn't go towards some requirement (Gen Eds, Graduation, etc). You can come out with two degrees in 4 years if you stay on track. Just stay on track and take the classes you need first!
Jovanny from Alamosa, CO
Dont slack on signing up for classes! Classes get filled up really quickly here but dont fret. You can always ask for a label to get an extra seat in a class if you really want it.
Laurel from Alamosa, CO
Stock up on the DVDs and take advantage of the on-campus cable. It's usually sunny and windy. In August it's really hot, but it gets cold quickly, really cold. Be prepared for professors to recognize you outside of class, they'll know when you're skipping.
Bio major from Colorado
Even though some classes may seem easy pay attention and stay on track with all of the assignments.
Bethany from LA Jara, CO
