Students studying

Anatomy

The human body is fascinating, and an anatomy major allows you to learn more about this complex, intricate system. The program combines the study of human biology, ethics, and social issues and gives you a deep understanding of how and why the body functions as it does. You'll study topics as diverse as reproduction, genetics, embryology and growth, human functional anatomy, microscopic structures of cells/tissues, ecology, and the functionality of the nervous system. Additionally, you'll complement your lectures with discussions from experts from different fields. Eventually you'll be able to apply and expand on the theory of your courses through practical laboratory classes and structured tutorials. Opting for an anatomy major allows you to take advantage of the various opportunities that may come your way. You will find countless opportunities in the research field, or as a scientist in commercial organizations. Some people with anatomy degrees go on to become advisers or work in public education or the media.
