Virginia University of Lynchburg
The Virginia University of Lynchburg is a private, historically black institution founded in 1886. The campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and boasts a number of historic facilities for students to attend. Academics at VUL are focused on humanities and religious studies, even featuring a program for students to earn a Doctorate of Ministry degree. Incoming freshmen looking for a head start in their college career can enroll in the school’s Fast Track program, which spans two weeks during the summer and awards up to ten college credits.
