University of West Georgia
The University of West Georgia is a public, 4-year, R3 doctoral research university. UWG offers over 85 academic programs, and is home to an Honors College. UWG is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and is classified as a SACS Level VI University, the highest level possible. The sprawling 645-acre campus has extensive lush vegetation, that it’s deemed a Trees of America campus. A home to a community of athletes, UWG hosts 14 Division II athletic teams and sponsors off-campus adventure trips, such as backpacking, and whitewater rafting.
