What Students Are Saying
The food at Upstate is very good, but the meal plans are a bit expensive. If you live on campus in Magnolia House or Palmetto House, you are required to buy the most expensive meal plan. That meal plan is the only reason that I do not have a full ride.

The food isnt all that great but it has its moments. The best time to eat lunch is on Wednesday thats when they do fried chicken, macaroni and cheese etc. Their breakfast is always great. Make sure you try the omelettes. Upstate has a variety of places to eat. Jasmines which is basically like starbucks, Subconnection which is like subway, wholly habernos which is mexican food and sandellas they are all very good but Sandellas is the only one that is open at night.
Brianna from Goose Creek, SC
The food is okay. They like to try new things and sometimes, they try to hard.
