Am learning a lot | The courses available are outstanding! One of my favorite type of courses are called ILCs, which combine two different areas of study and show how they are interlinked and how the areas can affect you personally. Both my core classes and the classes for my major or intensely interesting. I've learned more than I ever thought I could. |
Am enjoying being here | I love this school. It is a small school and a close knit-community. It is much larger than my high school, but still has that close and friendly feeling to it. The classes are small - usually between 20 and 30, often times less than that. I like having small classes because then I am more than a number; I am a student that the professors are willing to assist. I also like the activities made available to me through core of discovery: rafting, camping, hikes, snowshoeing, etc. It makes it easier to get to know people, have a good time, and take a break from schoolwork. |
Bang for the buck | Although it is a bit pricey - after all, it's a private university - I believe the value of the education available to me here is worth the money. There are scholarships available for those that need it such as the UGF full tuition, Discovery Grant, Great-for-Great-Falls Scholarship, and a number of athletic scholarships. |
Tips for prospective students | Stay on top of homework, go to class, and ask for help when you need it. Because of the size of this school, it helps to get involved! |
Great for these types of students | This school is excellent for academic and athletic students, especially for outdoorsy people. |

Am learning a lot | The academic courses available at the University of Great Falls are outstanding. I have learned more in the first semester of school then in all four years of high school. |
Am enjoying being here | I love going to UGF. It being a small school you really get a chance to meet everyone on campus. The school hosts tons of fun events and there is always something going on. |
Bang for the buck | The change from high school to college is very noticeable. The faculty at the school are really willing to help when ever needed. The small classes and close knit community make it a great environment to learn and have fun in! |
Tips for prospective students | Show dedication to community and your peers. The school takes a great amount of pride in its sence of community. |
Great for these types of students | Outgoing, energetic, athletic, academic, courageous, outdoorsy, spirited, faith full, spiritual |

In three sentences | I just completed my first semester at University of Great Falls and feel the University is an outstanding school. Every professor is willing to go the extra mile to help you succeed. The students and faculty are a tight knit community and I feel right at home attending this school even though I am over 2,000 miles away from home. |
Tips for prospective students | Prospective students should expect to come into the classroom hands on. The more you give in, the more you will get out of your experience and UGF. |
Academic Rigor | The academic rigor is top notch. The University prides itself on students being successful, While the classes can be challenging, the smaller ratio of teachers to students makes it so much easier than getting lost in the shuffle like students do at the larger Universities. |
Dorm Life | The dorms are set up perfectly and are bigger than some of the other colleges I have toured. Bathrooms and common areas are cleaned regularly. |
Food and Dining | The food is pretty good at UGF. The school offers a lot of home cooked selections that hit the spot just when you are missing home. I also enjoy the salad bar as a healthy alternative to eating some of the less healthier options. |
What to do for fun | There are several things to do for fun. Several of us get together and go bowling or to the movies. At times we get together on the LaCrosse field and play a couple of recreational games, which helps keep us in shape while keeping us engaged and busy. |

In three sentences | It is a very tight-knit school and community with many opportunities to make new friends! The class sizes are small and it is very easy to talk to your teachers one on one. It is also very easy to get involved with your community and around the campus with varies activities happening every week. |
Tips for prospective students | If this is a school you would like to attend, I recommend that you visit to check out the area and see if this is the place for you. |
Academic Rigor | The classes are challenging but completely do-able. Like any other school, the difficulty and how much time needs to be spent on studying and homework all depends on your major. Like any other school, majors such as Biology tend to be little bit tougher than some of the other majors. |
Dorm Life | The dorms are small, so everyone pretty much knows everyone. So, if you like a small community of people your age, this is the place to be. |
Food and Dining | The dining center is located very close to the dorms and has very good, home-made food. The cooks are very pleasant and polite! |
What to do for fun | There's always people your age, so there will always be opportunities for you to find something to do. There are also, movie theaters, bowling alleys, and various restaurants located on the main drag of the town. |

In three sentences | The University of Great Falls, Montana, has great science, education, psychology, and criminal justice programs. This school is also very small, capping class sizes at 20 people, yet it still has very many successful clubs and sports programs. Even though this school is so small, it is still A.P.A. certified, so i would give it a 5 out of 5 stars. |
Tips for prospective students | For prospective students i would suggest having a job to pay for play money and also to pay for books. i would also suggest get some help from the academic center, if you have one, on taking notes and how to further better yourself in your chosen feild. thirdly, have all your school passwords and logins written down, including your financial aid. |
Academic Rigor | Sometimes school can be stressful, specially around finals time, but if you show up to class and at least attempt to do your homework your teachers will try to help you and give you some slack when it comes to tests, quizzes, homework, and extra credit. |
Dorm Life | The dorm life was and is awesome. it is so great having so many of your friends so close, because you will never get bored and you will never run out of people to help you on homework. |
Food and Dining | The cafe was recently remodeld, it is a great place to eat, the food is good, and there is a giant tv to watch on Sunday's. My personal favorite is the breakfast sandwich. |
What to do for fun | Well, right now i play chess with my friend matt, i snowboard, play xbox, and i am on the wrestling team so i have a lot to do most of the time. |
Bang for the buck | the school can be kind of expansive your freshman year, but after that it gets cheaper each year for you. in the end i will end up graduating with less than $20,000 in student loans, however i still have to pay $1,200 out of pocket each year which makes it tough. |
Great for these types of students | Athletes, scholars, biology majors. |
Clubs and Activities | I am the head of a firm in the Man Club. there are over 20 clubs at this school. there is a lot of variety and the school offers many different things to do. |
Campus Safety | There is a lot of campus security, and as for the other students everyone looks out for each other. i love UGF because it is like we are a big family. |

Am learning a lot | University of Great Falls is an amazing school. The small class ratio between faculty to students makes it possible for students to connect to the teachers at anytime. Hard classes with small class size enables for everyone to learn everything without any hassle. Smaller class size is beneficial for me because I can easily ask my teachers with question that I am unclear about. I do not need to make any appointments or anything like many big schools out there. |
Am enjoying being here | I love being here because it is a small school and everyone knows everyone. Freshmen lives in the same dorm which builds relationships that will last for the whole college years. The upperclassmen are so nice and kind and they are always there to help the freshmen out. They help us from tutoring with our home works to recommending classes that are fun to take. |
Bang for the buck | This school gave me many scholarships as well as to other students. The tuition is very cheap and it is affordable to everyone. University of Great Falls made it possible for students to graduate without any debt or debt less than the national average. The school financial aid is so easy to access because when the school gives you scholarships, there are no applications required. |
Tips for prospective students | I highly recommend this school to everyone. If you are looking for a school with affordable tuition, small class sizes, awesome faculty, and fun social life, this school is the best match for you. You cannot go wrong with this school. I can guarantee that. |
Great for these types of students | This school is great for everyone. This school does not have any specific type of students because the students here are all talented and it is a good mix of colors and diversity. All students are either good in sports, excel in academics, and awesome at theater but that does not matter because the programs at UGF overlaps one another enabling students to do one thing while doing another one. |
