Originally founded by the Convention of Free Will Baptists, the University of Mount Olive is a 4-year liberal arts university with a Christian-centered focus in eastern North Carolina. UMO offers over 50 different majors featuring small classes and experienced, caring faculty. The University is listed by the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities as one of the most affordable private college in North Carolina.  Outside of the classroom, UMO students have the opportunity to compete on 22 NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic teams.
