University of Maine at Presque Isle
With a campus adjacent to the Northern Maine Woods, the University of Maine at Presque Isle is a regional campus of UM in a pastoral setting in the northeast part of the state. US News & World Report repeatedly lauds UMPI, ranking it number 14 on its Top Public Schools for Regional Colleges of the North list and number six in the area for Graduates with the Least Debt. UMPI offers 25 bachelor’s degree programs and its Psychology, English, and History majors are available entirely online. The university’s campus also marks the beginning of the Maine Solar System Model which stretches out 54 miles along US Route 1.
