The Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico (Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico) is a private institution specializing in the technical sciences with a main campus in San Juan and two Florida campuses. PUPR is home to the largest private Hispanic Serving school of engineering in America and its territories, featuring seven academic programs in that subject. Additionally, PUPR offers undergraduate programs in Business, Architecture, and Education as well as an honors program. The university’s Computer Science program is notable for being recognized by the Department of Homeland Security as a National Center for Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education.
