The University of Texas Medical Branch is a health institution in the UT system located in the southeast part of the state. UTMB is comprised of four schools specializing in Nursing, Medicine, Health Professions, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. For students who wish to live on campus, UTMB provides 200 dorm rooms and apartments and each residential facility has its own swimming pool. UTMB is also home to over 90 student organizations including coed intramural basketball, volleyball, and kickball leagues.
