Texarkana College is a 2-year community college in northeast Texas. Texarkana confers degrees and certificates in over 40 areas of study. The Cosmetology Department oversees a student salon offering beauty and spa services to the public. To provide a break from classes, the Pinkerton Fitness Center offers numerous recreational facilities including eight tennis courts, two racquetball courts, and a half-mile track. The campus is also home to the Perot Leadership Museum with exhibits tracing the professional life of Texarkana alumnus and former presidential candidate H. Ross Perot.
