Located on the site of the first high school in the area, San Diego State University-Imperial Valley Campus is a 4-year institution and a campus in the SDSU system. SDSU-IV is home to schools of Arts & Sciences, Education, and Professional Studies conferring bachelor’s degrees in 12 academic fields. With campus a short distance from the US/Mexican border, SDSU-IV features a diverse student body and celebrates their cultures throughout the year with concerts, workshops, and films. In addition to classroom space, the campus hosts the Steppling Art Gallery which displays works from numerous Imperial and Mexicali Valley artists.
