What Students Are Saying
Definitely come to the overnights and open houses. The overnights you get to stay with current students and go to classes with them and really see what the school is like. There are always fun activities planned for the nights of the overnight so you really get to learn what Russell Sage is all about!
Drew from Catskill, NY
Understand that the college is a small community of people (students and faculty) so it is not possible to hide quietly in the back of the class without any attention. Russell Sage College, in particular, is a woman's college and that aspect alone provides an interesting class dynamic. I believe they are quite selective, but if you really want to go there, I would suggest doing the interview. It is not required so many do not, but it will help you stand out.

Time management is the key to success.
Don't skip classes even if they say a class is optional.
Don't cram for a test.
Have time for yourselves as well as friends.

This is a women's college. You definitely will want to make sure you keep up with all of the work for your classes, because it is a face paced environment. Make sure to involve yourself with campus activities. You will have a ton of fun with the traditions here so stay involved! Also, make sure to utilize the professors' office hours, the writing studio and career center, and the free tutoring services. They're really helpful. Make sure to call and set up a visit with the admission office for a tour.
