Formerly known as the Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Ponce Health Sciences University is a for-profit graduate school of medicine in southern Puerto Rico. PHSU is home to four schools offering master’s degrees and doctorates in Medicine, Public Health Programs, and Psychology as well as a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. The university also hosts a number of professional and honor societies including the American Medical Student Association and Alpha Omega Alpha. Outside of the classroom, PHSU is situated a short drive away from La Cordillera Mountain Range and the Caribbean Sea.
