The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science is a funeral service training academy with an emphasis on contemporary funeral arrangements. PIMS offers associate degree programs in Specialized Business and Specialized Technology with an emphasis on Funeral Service Arts & Sciences. To supplement classroom work, the Pittsburgh Institute works with area funeral homes to provide clinical embalming and funeral practicum experience. In order to provide the most comprehensive training, PIMS recruits faculty from a roster of licensed funeral directors and embalmers.
