Am learning a lot | The academic programs are great and the teachers really inspire student to absorb what they are teaching. |
Am enjoying being here | The school has a problem with not guiding their students. There are great people working in the admissions office and councilors office but they just don't have enough time to truly help the students choose the correct classes for themselves. If students don't talk with one another about degree programs and the classes needed then they'll end up in a class they don't need or don't like. |
Bang for the buck | The tuition of Pikes Peak is a decent price and financial aid really helps too. For my last semester which was 14 credit hours I paid 1600 plus books. |
Tips for prospective students | If you plan on going to this school make sure that you know what classes are needed for your degree. Talk to other students they can help you pick out good classes and great teachers. Do not underestimate the work load, even though it's a community college it's still college! Get your books before the first day of class and read a little. Also on the first day of class get yourself a study buddy, they will say your behind if you miss a class. |
Great for these types of students | This school is great for student that are just starting out and still do not know what they really want to do. Also this school is great for military students, students that have full time jobs, students with odd work hours, and student that would like to take online classes. Pikes peak is also wonderful for students that just want a certificate and not a degree. |

Will learn a lot | I do believe I will learn a lot here. It has a comfortable environment that is peaceful and with hardly any disruptive noise |
Will enjoy being here | I will enjoy being here. It's close to my house, I will be attending in the morning right after I drop my children off at school and will still be home in time to have lunch with them |
Bang for the buck | I'm not sure if I'm getting the big bang for my buck but compared to the few colleges I have compared to, I am getting my money worth. |
Tips for prospective students | Don't be afraid to go to the schools your interested in and looking around. Ask lots of questions and don't settle for something your unsure of or being rushed to do. |
Great for these types of students | Older, more goal oriented individuals. I believe it takes a self disciplined person to attend college so late in there life like me. |

Will learn a lot | I will be learning a lot here in Pikes Peak, because the same teacher that teaches at UCCS also teach down at Pikes Peak; so it would be a learning center of high expectations!!!!! |
Will enjoy being here | I will also enjoy this college because it's not far from my home, and the students there are also nice though i hardly know them. |
Bang for the buck | The tuition is quite okay. |
Tips for prospective students | The students are serious and fun too. |

Am learning a lot | I've only been to Pikes Peak for one semester so far, but I feel like I've definitely entered into the college realm. Classes are far more challenging than high school, but only because each class requires more time for studying, homework, and projects. On the plus side (or negative side---depending on your view point), the classes aren't too difficult. However, just because the classes are easy doesn't mean that the education is any less valuable. Many of the professors at Pikes Peak also teach at UCCS. For a far cheaper price, students are receiving the same level of education as those attending a public university. |
Am enjoying being here | I do enjoy my classes a lot. The people at PPCC are varied which makes classes fun and stimulating because you get to hear from different perspectives. However, there aren't that many activities to get involved in. Personally, I just go to my classes and head straight back home. |
Bang for the buck | I definitely feel that PPCC is worth the price. It's a beautiful community college, and the teachers there are helpful and know their curriculum well. For an Associate's Degree, I'd recommend going here first and then transferring to a four year college. It's the same level of education---just cheaper! |
Tips for prospective students | You definitely have to be your own advocate when dealing with advisers. If you plan to visit a adviser, be sure to bring plenty of questions. Know in general what classes you need to take to transfer before you sign up for them! Many classes fill up fast. |
Great for these types of students | Pikes Peak is perfect for students who work full-time jobs; students who just want a cheap education that's still valuable and respectable; students who struggled getting into a four year university; or students who just want to learn. |

Am learning a lot | The academic programs here are definitely impressive. I would say that the level of education being taught is as good, if better, than any local university. |
Am enjoying being here | The people are very friendly! A lot of the students work in school functions, such as the bookstore and the library, so you see familiar faces everywhere you go! Because of the smaller enrollment, there is more of a connection between students. |
Bang for the buck | While the price isn't extremely cheap, you definitely get your money's worth. |
Tips for prospective students | Know the general career path that you want to take before starting college. It's not a requirement, it just helps you down the road. If you're not sure of your career path, take general classes like English and Science so that they'll stay with you even if you transfer degrees or majors. |
Great for these types of students | Anyone who lives in Colorado Springs and who wants a good education but isn't sure of their career path yet or who is on a budget. Overall, it's a great school! |
