Well rounded students make the best applicants for OHSU: volunteer work, great grades, life experience, job experience.

Go-getters, hard-workers, dedicated, people-people.

Hard work, but a pleasure to be here. My classmates are wonderful and the instruction is top notch. I look forward to spending more time with the nursing, physician assistant, and dental students as the curriculum evolves.

Had to dock some stars here for the in-state tuition. OHSU has been the most expensive public medical school in the country in recent years, and it's probably still in the top three. But OHSU has been innovative with its curriculum and is always improving to stay at the forefront, so I couldn't complain too much. Medical school is simply going to be expensive in this country.

Survive the admissions process and you'll be fine.

They are a very difficult school to get into, so the school will expect you to have your act together. They have very good customer service and are very willing to answer questions. It's best to try and get your information and then go to them with your questions.

Their process can be difficult and take time so give yourself time, you don't really know what you'll need to do until you start the process. No matter what program you are applying to, make sure that you are prepared and understand how difficult it could be to get into and stay in the program.

The programs that OHSU offers are difficult and require you to be dedicated to the program and willing to put everything you have into the program.

OHSU does no offer dorms.

The campus that OHSU offers there programs through offer this not OHSU.

An excellent school with a nursing curriculum based on holistic care. Teachers with active careers who are up to date on modern technological advances. A well known school with an esteemed reputation.

Have a high GPA to apply. Self-care is crucial. Try not to stress.

It is an incredibly rigorous program.

There are no dorms.

The campus has good food choices. I am on the Ashland Campus at SOU.

Ashland has a great out doors scene. There isn't much night life around but there isn't much time for that anyway.

Use the advice of the upper class persons trying to help you. They are on your side!

You can get keys to locked rooms in the library, even when everything else is full.

The coursework is rigorous and demanding. expect to study hard and have little time for extracurricular activities.

Portland is a great town for every interest. A liberal community close to the ocean and the mountains, if you like outdoor activities.

OHSU is one of the finest medical universities in the United States.
