With campus on the shore of Port Townsend Bay, the Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building is a nautical construction school in northwest Washington state. NWSWB offers a 1-year associate degree in Occupational Studies program with concentrations in contemporary and traditional wooden boatbuilding. In addition to classroom space, the campus includes a lumber milling room and several boat shops to instruct students on construction techniques. Throughout the year, NWSWB students are recruited to help construct boats ordered through the school website.
