With a main campus nestled along the edge of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, Luna Community College is a 2-year institution and the only community college in northeast New Mexico. Luna is home to seven academic departments offering more than 35 degree and certificate-granting programs. For students who need assistance with classwork, Luna’s Academic Center for Excellence provides free tutoring and academic coaching. LCC’s campus features a prominent stone monument to the college’s namesake: former Speaker of the New Mexico House Maximiliano Luna.
