Am learning a lot | It has been a great first semester. As I completed the course material throughout this fall semester of 2011, there was much material covered that I already knew but was presented as a great refreshment. |
Am enjoying being here | I'm enjoying the small campus where professors are able to dedicate more of their time with students individually in and outside of the classroom. The faculty and staff are wonderful people. |
Bang for the buck | I would argue for the sake of Christian colleges, Florida Christian College, so far, is a good institution for higher learning for the cost of tuition that is required. |
Tips for prospective students | To student intending to attend Florida Christian College, I would recommend you take advantage of all the resources readily available to you, especially the availability offered to work one on one with professors, which is something you won't find in bigger colleges/universities. |
Great for these types of students | Florida Christian College is great for students who intend to enter any field within Christian Ministry or who want definition to their growing but undefined Christian faith, which will root itself in constant biblical and theological studies. |

In three sentences | Florida Christian College, now Johnson University Florida, is the best place on Earth. I've never felt so at home in a place I've only been for less than two weeks. Everyone here is loving and welcoming, creating an amazing learning environment. |
Tips for prospective students | Prospective students should know that they're going to make amazing friends here that they will never lose. Also, they will get an amazing education, in the most fun way possible. |
Academic Rigor | The classes I'm in so far have had quite a bit of homework. Class lectures, however, have been very informative, and if you pay attention in class, the homework is easy. |
Dorm Life | The dorms are quaint and have an amazing full kitchen. Four people to an apartment, two bedrooms, a living room and a large bathroom. The RA's are great and you feel at home in no time. |
Food and Dining | The food is great because there's no cafeteria! Students cool for themselves in their own kitchen, so you can eat whatever you want! No pricey meal plan, which is great! |
What to do for fun | Every day students get together at 4:00 p.m. and play ultimate frisbee. There's a voluntary bible study every night, and with such a close knit campus, you'll always find someone to hang out with in the Student Union or by the pool. Thursday evenings at 8:45 we have coffee shop which is a time when they student body gets together voluntary for amazing worship and delicious coffee. It's always a good time. |

In three sentences | It is a great school that not only challenges us academically, but it molds us into great, moral students to expand the Kingdom of God. The school strives for students to build life-ling relationships with not only each other but professors as well. I am very impressed and pleased with my school! |
Tips for prospective students | I would suggest that upcoming students be ready to devote time to studies, personal growth, and relational growth. Don't shy away from potential great opportunities. I would also suggest taking advantage of getting to know some amazing professors. They are there for you to learn from them, and they genuinely want to invest in students' lives. |
Academic Rigor | The school is challenging in many aspects, but especially in developing students who are knowledgable in their subjects of study. There is a great balance of challenge and real-life experience. |
Dorm Life | Some of my best experiences have taken place in personal growth outside of the classroom setting with my friends, roommates, and professors. I am very thankful for the people I have in my life - Not only that, but living on campus is simply a lot of fun as well! |
Food and Dining | Florida Christian College does not have a mean plan because our housing is apartment-style dorms with full sized kitchens. This is great because it enables students to budget their own money for food and also learn to cook. |
What to do for fun | Florida Christian College is located twenty-five minutes from Disney World and Universal Studios, which means there is plenty to do for fun around town. |
Bang for the buck | Florida Christian College is very affordable - Less than half the national average for private college and universities. I am very pleased with our fixed-rate tuition because I will be paying the same amount per credit hour when I graduate than when I started. |
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus | Students have started what's called Coffee Shop where students gather every Thursday for music and coffee. FCC students also play ultimate frisbee every day at 4:00 whether it be raining, snowing, or a tornado looming. |
Great for these types of students | Florida Christian College is great for students who want a Biblical foundation in life or just want a positive, uplifting environment. |
Clubs and Activities | FCC has numerous clubs and activities. Some clubs include various groups that meet to raise awareness for sex trafficking, various sporting clubs, as well as student council to which I am part of. |
Campus Safety | FCC has security guards that roam the campus during the night to ensure the safety of its students. |

Food and Dining | We have several events during the year including banquets and Pancakes With the President. The food is yummy! |
What to do for fun | We are in the heart of Kissimmee, close to Disney and not too far from the beaches. We have a pool on campus and a Student Union Building (SUB) where there's a billiard and ping pong table. We often hold tournaments. We also have basketball, volleyball, and wiffle ball nights held in the Chapman Center on campus. Everyone is always invited and welcomed at these events. We also have ultimate Frisbee games everyday at 4pm. |
Bang for the buck | The Astro's stadium is across the street from us, many students enjoy the practices and games during the spring. |
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus | Every year we hold a fundraiser titled Round up. This is event is like a fair or carnival style activity, it's always a big success and a lot of fun. |
