What Students Are Saying

Stay on top of you studies and homework. It really makes a difference and you feel more accomplished. Plus, you can look back and say I did that. I finished college.
Manuel from Napoleon, OH
Keep in contact with admissions counselors they love to answer your questions.
Dru from Wooster, OH
If you're going into Wildlife Management make sure you are equipped for any type of weather. We are outside in almost anything! Also, be as involved with the student chapter as you can. There are a lot of opportunities for students if they become involved.
Michelle from Nelsonville, OH
if your an outdoors person hocking college is the college for you. you will learn a lot and get a got start on the path to your future
Jameson from Nelsionville, OH
my advice is to stay calm, focus on your classes, and enjoy yourself. it is best to attend all new student orientations that way you know where everything is before you start! lastly, hocking college has a variety of programs and they are rated very highly in more than half of their programs, so i would definitely recommend this school to many others.
Amber from Lancaster, OH
Don't expect Nelsonville to be New York City....it's not.
Anna from Wooster, OH
If you plan on coming to Hocking I would advise you to either live in the dorms if you love far from the college if not in an apartment. Just be ready to make new friends every day. I have been here almost a whole year and I am still making new friends. Also, if you hunt you can keep your things down at the Nelsonville Police Department and go hunting either behind the campus with your bow and a permit from the school, or at one of the many public hunting spots close to the college.
