What Students Are Saying
To have faith in God. All things are possible with God!! You're never to old to go back to school.
Rachel from Mount Holly, NC
Sign up for FAFSA and work study, even if you think you wouldn't receive it. For classes, just complete your assignment and you won't fail. Also, take the opportunity to take some online classes. Last, but not the least is try the butterfinger coffeee! Its awesome!
Sadaf from Gastonia, NC
If you have classes especially when the semester begins always get there almost an our early. If you don't you will not be able to find much if any parking near where you need to be at for your class.
Some of the counselors are not very good at their job, but there are some that are amazing.
Also, I would like to beware that if you get some scholarships, for instance the NC Educational Lottery, you may not get all of the money that was originally promised to you.
Be aware that if you use financial aid to not use all of it at Gaston even if you change your major. I would highly recommend that if you are just wanting to transfer to another college to get a Associates in the Arts or Sciences.

Get to know your advisers and be open and honest about your situation. Most of the time if a problem arises they are able to help you if they are aware.
Ashley from Vale, NC
Study, and work hard.
