Excelsior College is very supportive of its students. Excelsior provides a Counselor that makes contact with the student for continued support and eliminates frustration for the student. Excelsior makes frequent contact with the student to determine what is needed for continued study. tips for study habits, tips for success, and much more.

Not at Dorm but I am sure that Dorm Life is great at Excelsior. I would rate it at a 5 star.
Food and Dining
Food and Dining should be excellent. Although I do not have to eat at the College, I am sure that it is a 5 star.
What to do for fun
Bike, sports, and movies.

Excelsior College is a great college and work to keep student rates within means if possible.

There is a large array of courses available for multiple degree paths. The staff is available and usually answer correspondence within 24 hours. Excellent choice for student with other responsibilities including work and family life.
Tips for prospective students
You are not locked in to your major. You can switch majors at any time within reason. Use the staff advisers to help you make correct choices or assist when you have issues such as financing, textbooks, or course problems. Excelsior has a dedicated staff for veterans and active duty members.
Academic Rigor
As an online student, most courses require discussion posts (usually two per week) of 250+ words. Original discussion posts are generally due by Thursday with discussion responses due by Sunday. In addition, most weeks will have an assignment due by Sunday which consists of and essay, case study or examination. Most math classes make use of McGraw-Hill electronic courseware. Overall, the workload is not difficult provided you make an effort.

I enjoy woodworking, video games, crafts, reading, writing, and playing with my children.
Bang for the buck
I pay a reduced rate for Active Duty military. My tuition is $750.00 per course. Excelsior accepts Military Tuition Assistance and has a staff dedicated to processing it.
