What Students Are Saying

It is best to look into ETBU early. Make sure you would enjoy going to a small university smaller than some high schools. If so, look at the opportunities available, and check to see if they match what you want to get out of a college.
Caitlynn from Spring, TX
Get involved. There are tons of little ministries and groups here on campus. Also don't be afraid to ask questions. ETBU's admissions counselors are super helpful at making sure ETBU is a right for you (Which I know it'll be!)
Jorge from Princeton, TX
Pick the school that you love and not some school that your friend or boyfriend loves. You need to be where you will feel comfortable and fit in. You need to walk on that campus and feel like this is where you belong. Once you get to the campus you choose, get involved with campus life and your classes. Don't waste the opportunities college has to offer to meet people and gain life experience.
Great for these types of students

Brittany from White Oak, TX
i was hesitant at first because for some reason i was under the impression that this school was extremely conservative and strict and would be teeny tiny and not very nice or on par with my academic standards. through my visit to campus, that myth in my mind was completely wiped away. this university is beautiful, the student body obviously has a passion for jesus but its not the super conservative independent baptist crowd, southern baptists and really any person of christian denomination would feel right at home and be able to grow in their faith here. i'm a prospective biology/pre-med major and the professor i met with from that department was by far the nicest and most sociable biology professor i've ever met with on any of my college visits.
christina from san antonio, tx
etbu is beyond a great school for christians. if you believe in god then you will love etbu. there is chapel, bible study, and guest speakers and pastors that talk to you and feed you information about the great lord.
Charles from Beaumont, TX
Just come. The community here is wonderful. People truly desire to get to know you. The campus is small so it is just like one huge family who loves one another. I am missing ETBU so much right now. Also do not go home all the time. You form relationships on the weekends so if you are always going home you will be miserable.
