What Students Are Saying
College of the Redwoods is actually pretty inexpensive. And you are always reminded to apply for fee waivers and financial aid. The books are mostly what can make a bit of a dent in your wallet. However, you can always order books online for cheaper.
Josie from Alderpoint, CA
It is a cheaper junior college to attend due to the remote location. Rent in the city of Eureka is very reasonable and you don't need a car to drive everywhere because the bus is fairly decent.
Reaia from Arcata, CA
Fairly inexpensive and offers a B.O.G. waiver which waves all tuition. Also, a program called E.O.P.S. provides book vouchers for those who qualify.
Matthew from Mckinleyville, CA
The Dorms are around $7,000 for a full year(Fall & Spring semesters), & averaged out, it's about $12 a day. However, close to half of that is for food. Each semester you get about $1,400 on your Student ID(It doubles as a meal card) that you can only use at the cafeteria on campus.
