What Students Are Saying
Have plenty confidence and aim high as the sky for your goals and dreams, and never look back and keep moving forward to success.
Michael from Columbia, SC
If you want to be here come and tell someone
Ayana from Atlanta, GA
Claflin is a private institution, so it is more money, but I feel that the money is worth it when you look at all the knowledge and experience that you will have by the time you graduate, Claflin is definitely a smart investment. I would advise students to come to Claflin with an open mind, and a willingness to learn and broaden themselves.
Jontee from Rockville, VA
Yes, Claflin is a small university and yea incoming freshmen do have curfew, but it is really not that bad. For one being on a small campus has its advantages and disadvantages, but I can be the first one to tell you that I would not want to go to another school because by it being small, you have the opportunity to build a bond with your professors and the competition for scholarships and internships are slightly decreased. Secondly, I was one to say before I arrived ... CURHEW ... WHAT ??? But now I can honestly say the whole curfew thing helped me get my focus more on my school work and also help me stay out of trouble.
Jaimie from Spartanburg, SC
Prepare yourself for having a orientation class that you HAVE to attend the WHOLE year and assembly. For the most part, the students and faculty are nice so you wouldn't have a hard time fitting in.
Shaquai from Andrews, SC
For prospective students i advise you to get involved in the school activities. I advise you to be involved on and off campus. Claflin University always has an event or something going on during the school year.
Dae'quan from Cherry Hill, NJ
To all prospective students stay on top of your game. Study hard and also communicate with people on campus. It's a lot of help out here.
Kyree from Orangeburg, SC
WORK HARD AND PRESS ON
Akeem from Sumter, SC
My advice to prospective students would be get ready for the fun and exciting freshman trip to White Oaks. Its a time to bond with your freshman class and get a change to know them. I also advise you to get a mentor to help you on important things such as financial aid or other things that occur on campus because it's good to have someone who's experienced to help you.
Tyra from Sumter, SC
