Chicago Theological Seminary
Established in 1855, Chicago Theological Seminary is a private, Christ-centered institution located downtown beside the University of Chicago. CTS offers master’s and doctoral degrees in seven fields of study, as well as a certificate program in Theological Studies, with the Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, and MDiv and Master of Social Work program available to complete fully-online. The college also maintains the Center for the Study of Black Faith and Life and the InterReligious Institute, which are devoted to making inclusive, multicultural connections. Most students at CTS are required to complete both a Clinical Pastoral Education assignment and a Congregational or Community Field Placement.
