Am learning a lot | Very small classes compared to a university and easy to connect with your professor. |
Am enjoying being here | Classes are enjoyable, the campus is nice and organized, and people are friendly. |
Bang for the buck | I definitely think that for just your core classes like English and math, start at a community college; the information is the same for much cheaper. |
Tips for prospective students | Try to be involved as much as you can, it is easy to drift off from your studies and fall behind. |
Great for these types of students | Chandler-Gilbert Community College is great for students who need the extra attention and very flexible hours. |

Am learning a lot | I have currently been enrolled for two semesters at Chandler Gilbert Community College and I am going into my third semester at this college. I can honestly say that I have walked out of every class learning new material that will help me in the future. Every class I have taken is very informative and the professors are great. Like every college sometimes it can get a little challenging but who says that a challenge makes a person smarter. |
Am enjoying being here | Chandler Gilbert Community college has an awesome campus. It has many places to go and have a good study period or to go and meet new friends. There are always student events that are very fun and always offer a new experience. |
Bang for the buck | I really think that every dollar that is spent at Chandler Gilbert is worth it. The campus is clean, friendly, and comfortable. The education offered is great and it has even been said that it is a bit better than a big universities classes because the classes are smaller and there is more time for one on one questions and help. It is also a great place to get a great college experience there is a great diversity of students and there is always fun events to attend to and meet new people. |
Tips for prospective students | The advice I give to students is to focus on school and don't take breaks from school. As expensive as college is these times there is always finance help whether it is through FAFSA or grants, loans, or even scholarships. Its easier to continue college right after High School and get it done! However, if you are someone who took a break and realized its time to go back focus and always give your best because your never to old to learn new things that can improve the way you live. If you have more education you will be more successful. |
Great for these types of students | Chandler Gilbert is a great college for any type of student. There offer great help in any area needed. There is always a learning center filled with tutors eager to help students achieve better grades. This college also offers various services that are useful for all students. Financial Aid, Flexible class schedules, a great library, and a great staff of professors that help students get their moneys worth of education. |

In three sentences | chandler-gilbert community college is a well rounded school with many different opportunities. it has a wonderful leadership and student based help program and it has a student life group that helps many different people. overall, cgcc is a school that nearly anyone could attend and create a support system for themselves. |
Tips for prospective students | the best thing to do at this school is get involved. student life, student leadership, clubs and organizations have so much to offer, whether it be gaining or giving support. once involved in school projects, success is a given. |
Academic Rigor | the teachers tend to expect students to exceed. most teachers are more than willing to help out with anything that comes up, be it family issues or work scheduling. the teachers are helpful and truly take an interest in what problems you have with learning in their class. |
Dorm Life | seeing as there are no dorms present on the cgcc campus, there are many alternatives to living with parents. there are many apartments that are nearby. houses are also in a controllable range for those with money issues. |
Food and Dining | the food at cgcc is surprisingly delicious, though it isn't cheap. however, if you can find cheap food at a college, let me know. so far i haven't had any luck! |
What to do for fun | there are multiple clubs on campus that host a wide variety of events, on and off campus. many clubs plan trips to different parts of the state. the student pavilion is also a hub of activity for the school, complete with music and ping pong. |
Bang for the buck | chandler-gilbert community college has by far given the most welcoming, warm experience i have had at any school that i have ever been to until now. the advisers and staff is caring and truly makes an effort to make sure you are getting everything you can while attending. |
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus | there is a school garden where we hand make adobe bricks. the student pavilion nearly always has several different groups of people to hang out with in it. |
Great for these types of students | personally, i believe this school would be great for nearly anyone. i fit in like there was a place made for me before i began attending. |
Clubs and Activities | there are many different clubs to choose from, from phi theta kappa to black student union. there are many options and paths you can take your college career on. the clubs are fun, enjoyable and busy. |
Greek Life | phi theta kappa is a staple at cgcc. they maintain the club well and continue to improve their experience. |
Campus Safety | not once have i personally heard about an incident at cgcc. there are multiple safety cameras and very pleasant security guards watching the campus at all times. |

Am learning a lot | Although I believe the work load could be more extensive I enjoy the fact that the teachers give the students the tools to learn, and let the students decide what they want to get out of the course. I personally am studying an area that's more practice on technique than quantity of what you can learn so my personal learning is a bit limited but in some of my elective classes I have learned things that have even given me a new perspective on certain aspects of life. |
Am enjoying being here | I do wish that, academically, the school was more challenging but the atmosphere and the programs and extra curricular activities that are offered at the school are enjoyable. There are always plenty of events that students can attend either for enjoyment or to broaden their horizons in the academic and real world. |
Bang for the buck | The school has been very helpful with my financial needs and they make it very easy to obtain and maintain scholarships and financial aid. I know several people at the school who are also on scholarship or financial aid and the advisers on campus do whatever they can when you first enter campus to make sure that you are able to handle the financial burden. Also, the college has several payment plans and they have equal opportunity, on campus jobs that can come in handy while looking for a little extra book money. |
Tips for prospective students | The biggest tip that I would give to a prospective student is sign up for classes, and get any advisement you need done early. Often the administration office gets crowded with last minute needs and classes can fill up rather fast so staying on top of deadlines and time management is extremely important. |
Great for these types of students | I would say that this school is great for a wide range of students. The school offers the tools needed in order to help any type of student along their way. The only thing the student really has to bring to campus is a can-do attitude and a want or need to pass the class. |

Am learning a lot | My teachers have all been very helpful and seem to genuinely care about their students. Classes are small which makes learning easier for me, i feel more comfortable in a small classroom environment. |
Am enjoying being here | The college has a small town feel to it. Because its so small you see people you know almost everywhere you go which is nice. The campus is beautiful and clean, and I LOVE the library! |
Bang for the buck | I really feel like I made a good decision by going to CGCC. The classes are cheaper then at a University but the teachers are just as good. |
Tips for prospective students | Come and visit the campus, meet some student ambassadors, see how you like it. (Beware the cafeteria mac n cheese) |
Great for these types of students | Anyone who isn't sure about their major or those who don't have one yet. People who want to finish their prerequisites on a budget, or those who need an associates degree to get into a University. |
