Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology is a technology and engineering school in Boston. BFIT offers science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees, and is the only college in Massachusetts to offer degree programs in Opticianry. While 90 percent of students are commuters, BFIT offers limited housing at the nearby Stuart Street Hostel. BFIT began with a bequest in Benjamin Franklin’s will and a donation from Andrew Carnegie.
