What Students Are Saying

Do your research for every school.
Read the student handbooks so you can learn everything that the schools offer (i.e clubs and organizations)
Make sure you go for a visit and do not just go by what they tell you ask other students.
Register early so you can get the classes you want
Determine if you are willing to sacrifice some fun for a good eduction
C.Symoane
If you are going for sports a great place to get noticed. You will have a wonderful time on campus, it is so nice there.
cammeron from Dunedin, FL
To study but have some fun.
Geoffrey from Miami, FL
Don't come to barry if you are not serious about your education because you will hate it. There is a non existent party life on campus because quite frankly, if you are doing well in all of your classes, you probably won't have time to party. Bring lots of snacks and dorm-preparable foods because the on campus dining can get really redundant by the second semester. Also, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! you will be miserable. Those who procrastinated got C's while those who didn't got A's.
Elle, NY
it's a very expensive school but i believe it's worth it
Ke'Yondra from miami, FL
Always reach for quality, not quantity
Own up to your own mistakes
Regina from Lauderhill, FL
if you do come make sure you will be able to pay, Barry is a bit expensive. on the good side they have many majors and minors available. things that one shold find as soon as possible on campus is the library and cafeteria, they are the most important locations.
Arthur from Doral, FL
1. Stay on top of your financial aid (even if it means to go to the Business and Financial Aid office once a month)
2. Make sure that you know deadlines for payments and the changes made to your account
3. Park in areas that you can park, otherwise your car will be towed and you will get a ticket.
4. Join an organization or more, and be involved.
5. Most resident Halls are not that bad, just remember its an old university but in Fall 2012, there will be a new resident hall & if you can apply to live in the houses around campus.
6. If you are not Catholic, Barry doesn't mind they will accept anyway.
7. Focus on your studies, the better that you do the more that will shine.
8. Moonlight Madness is one of the most sporting events that the school hosts.
Catalina from Miami, FL
Do NOT come here only because it is located in Miami, and they have awarded you scholarship money. With those motives your chances of actually enjoying Barry University may be affected, research the school first.
