Founded in 1851, Albany Law School is an institution located in New York’s state capital and the oldest independent law school in the United States. Albany’s JD program is available in 3 and 4-year options with the first year taking place in the classroom and the latter years spent part time on-site in one of 120 area law firms. Albany’s campus is also home to six law centers specializing in specific subjects such as government and privacy law. Beyond the classroom, students assist with editing and publishing several legal publications including the Albany Government Law Review and Albany Law Journal of Science & Technology.
