What Students Are Saying
For anyone researching and planning to attend Alabama State, I highly recommend looking for as many scholarships that are possibly available. With any school, the hardest part is paying your way through college. Alabama State has a variety of organizations and programs that will assist you financially as you matriculate through the university. So take time and really help yourself, there is not time to waste, so spend your money wisely.
Leslie from Fairfield, AL
Work hard in the class room so you can play hard outside the classroom. Don't always expect the faculty members to have all the answers, sometimes you have to help yourself. Take time to visit your professors in their office, they are there to help you. Most of all remember you determine your experience so join organizations and clubs on campus and get involved with campus life. It's a great time to be a Hornet!
Elizabeth from East St. Louis, IL
My advice for any other students would to be to network. The people on the campus are really nice and help their peers in anything. Meet new people and people in your major and get to know them so you can have that mentor who can guide you through your major and classes.
Alexis from Long Beach, CA
A couple of tips for prospective students of ASU are: keep your grades up, and take the ACT as many times as possible so you can try to get the highest possible score. ASU will provide numerous scholarships for higher GPA & ACT scores.
