To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must fit into one of the following categories: 1) a dependent of a member of Wyoming Peace Officers Association regardless of field of study and who will be attending any college, university or technical school; 2) any Wyoming resident majoring in a law enforcement program at the University of Wyoming or a Wyoming community college; 3) any active or retired Wyoming law enforcement officer enrolled in a law enforcement major the University of Wyoming or any Wyoming community college on a full-time or part-time basis; or 4) any pre-service student who has successfully completed or who will successfully complete a peace officer basic course or detention officer basic course offered by the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.
