This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors or graduates of Kamehameha Schools Maui, Hawaii campus. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, demonstrate financial need, and demonstrate participation in community service activities. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or community organization which demonstrate their commitment the 'olelo no 'eau, "E lawe i ke a'o a malama, a e 'oi mau ka na'auao", which translates to “He who takes his teachings and applies them increases his knowledge.”
