Flight 587 Memorial Scholarship
New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC)
This scholarship is for children, spouses, and financial dependents of those who died as a direct result of the American Airlines Flight 587 crash on November 12, 2001 in Belle Harbor, Queens, New York. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must study at an approved post-secondary institution in New York State; have graduated from a high school in the US, earned a GED, or passed a federally approved "Ability to Benefit" test; be enrolled as full-time students (12 or more credits per semester); be matriculated in an approved program of study; and be in good academic standing.
