Design for Recovery sober living wants to offer a scholarship to help students who fight every day to overcome the devastating effects of addiction. If you or a loved one deal with alcoholism or drug addiction, we want to hear from you. If interested, please tell us your story. In 500-1,000 words we want to know what it was like, what happened, and what it’s like now. How has addiction affected your life and/or the lives of loved ones around you? How has addiction motivated you to change your life for the better? What obstacles—either past, present, or future—must you overcome, either in sobriety or in pursuing your education? We realize addiction is a family disease. That, although the addict uses, the family often suffers along with them. This is why we want to hear from you even If you do not personally identify as an addict. If a friend or loved one’s addiction left an indelible impact on your life, please feel free to apply.
