This scholarship is for students who are enrolled as seniors in the New York City public school system. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have overcome significant obstacles such as, but not limited to, poverty, disability, homelessness, or abuse. Applicants must be graduating and plan to attend a college or university. Applicants must have achieved/maintained a GPA showing marked effort, improvement, or success; and participated in activities helpful to others such as volunteerism, and other forms of community involvement. Applicants must be available for meetings, photo shoots, interviews, and award ceremony if selected to receive the scholarship.
