Sara Shaver is an award-winning high school counselor and Director of Student Services at My College Planning Team. Endorsed by colleagues and parents for her knowledge of college admissions and financial aid, she collaborates with students and families to make sure they have the tools and guidance they need to navigate the journey toward college successfully.

Sara is also the Director of Student Services and a College and Career Counselor at a public high school in Indiana. Previously, she was Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Cincinnati State, where she managed the scholarship program.

She holds a master’s in organizational leadership from Indiana Tech and a bachelor’s from Northern Kentucky University.

Sara’s honors include iSTAR Educator of the Year, given by her region’s high schools to recognize excellence in teaching and learning, and awards for FAFSA completion. Her high school routinely has FAFSA completion rates near 100 percent. She has appeared in U.S. News & World Report and other publications.
